MapleLNG Wins Pipeline Approval

MapleLNG has received its permit from the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board for the construction of a 1.3-mile pipeline to carry natural gas from its LNG terminal to a connection on the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline.
  The Board was satisfied with MapleLNG’s responses to issues raised during the public review period. The remaining permit for the project is the federal Navigable Waters, to be approved by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, which is expected later this year.
  Provincial and federal environmental approvals have been received for an LNG  import and regasification facility in Goldboro, Nova Scotia to accommodate LNG carriers up to 250,00 cubic meters.
  The MapleLNG project is expected to allow Nova Scotia to have a continuing supply of natural gas for markets in Canada and the U.S.
