India And Oman May Build Ultra Deepwater Gas Pipeline
India and Oman are exploring the possibility of constructing a subsea gas pipeline that could significantly boost New Dehli’s energy industry, according to local media sources.
The proposed 685-mile pipeline has a challenging technical dimension because at a particular point its depth will be over 3,500 meters – four times deeper than any subsea pipeline that has been constructed to date.
No timeline for construction has been announced.
